I wrote a while back about Digital cameras and they are terrific in so many ways. They are smaller than 35mm and so much more convenient though I do understand that old-school photographers love their 35mm cameras and are loath to change.

One thing hat any serious photographer will need is a camera bag for all the accessories that go with a camera. For 35mm this would of course include spare films but for the digital camera we still may need to carry spare memory cards and they must be well protected. Damage a memory card and it is ruined along with all of it’s contents. All gone forever. You would be wise to carry spare batteries as a digital camera is useless without power and you might want to carry your battery charger, a notebook for recording additional information about your photos and perhaps spare lenses.
