Be in no doubt – we live in the information age. Information is available in a way that has never existed at any time before in history. There is so much information available it can become overwhelming. Do a search on your favourite search engine, search for any obscure subject you can imagine and the chances are you will get back a list of results that is in the hundreds of thousands if not millions of webpages that may be rellevent to your search. How can anyone cope with that?

So our children are facing up to a growing mountain of knowledge and they need the tools to find there way through it. One of the best things you can do for your children to help them in all aspects of life is to encourage them to read. Reading and the enthusiasm for reading is the key to learning. Start them off reading classic childrens book and encourage their reading so they move on to some of the classics of literature.
