Once upon a time any suggestion of magic or magical demonstration would have been considered the work of the devil. In these more enlightened times we know that magic is nothing supernatural and is in fact more about sleight of hand and other tricks to decieve the eye and our minds.
We have a natural expectation of things as they are and when something happens that doesn’t fir in with the way our minds expect things to go we are left confused and fascinated. The modern magician may be seen as more as a showman than than someone with supernatural powers but that doesn’t take away the wonder and excitement of seeing a trick or illusion performed well. We love to be amazed and for all that modern science has given us, we still gaze in awe as the lady vanishes or the card just magically appears.
The site I am pointing you to today has a wealth of information about magic. I was fascinated to read about levitation and was then taken to another website where I saw a video which amazed me.
